Job Description
A Postdoctoral Associate position is available in the Division of Nephrology in the Department of Medicine at UConn Health to study the role of inflammatory cells and fibroblasts in the pathogenesis of kidney injury and fibrosis. The ideal candidate will be expected to design and perform experiments, and prepare and publish manuscripts under the direction of the Principal Investigator. The candidate will work with animal models relevant to kidney disease and utilize multiple scientific techniques including cell culture, flow cytometry, confocal microscope, PCRbased assays, histological and morphometric analysis, ChIP assay, immunohistochemistry and bone marrow cell transfer. Candidates must have a PhD degree and a strong background in Molecular and Cell Biology. Working experience with small animal surgery is preferred.
