The Division of Cardiac Surgery at The Ohio State University (Columbus, OH) has aNIH-funded postdoctoral position available immediately to study the molecular mechanisms and gene therapy of muscular dystrophy (Molecular Therapy, PMID: 31129119, Circulation Research, PMID: 28790199, and Nucleic Acids Research, PMID: 27799472). These studies will use a multidisciplinary approach focused on molecular engineering, state-of-the-art fluorescence imaging, adeno-associated virus delivery, animal models and systems biology.
Qualification and skills: Candidates must have a Ph.D. with strong research experience in molecular biology, cell biology, muscle physiology and/or gene therapy. Highly motivated candidates with a long-term interest in studies of muscular dystrophy and gene therapy are particularly encouraged to apply.
