　　The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine's Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology has an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Associate in Dr. Michal Toborek's laboratory. The main focus of the research will be on molecular and cellular mechanisms of injury to the brain endothelium and the blood-brain barrier. The work will involve both cell culture research and animal experiments. The candidate for this position is a recent doctoral graduate, who is highly motivated and has expertise in neuroscience, virology, molecular biology, cellular techniques, and/or animal experimentation. 　　Minimum Qualifications

　　The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Ph.D., M.D., or other doctoral-level degree in a relevant discipline. Prefer knowledge in one or more of the following: neuroscience, virology, molecular biology, cellular techniques, and/or animal experimentation.

As a result, during the Influenza ("the flu") season (September through April), the University of Miami School of Medicine requires all employees who provide ongoing services to patients, work in a location (all Hospitals and clinics) where patient care is provided, or work in patient care or clinical care areas, to have an annual influenza vaccination.
