　　Postdoctoral Scholar Research

　　Hiring Salary/Salary Range: $47,659-$50,000/year

　　DUTIES

　　This postdoctoral research position is available for a highly motivated candidate to study the molecular and cellular effects on cells and tissues of the innate immune activation in response to gene therapies. Data presentation and participation at laboratory meetings, seminars, and conferences are expected, as are participation in the preparation of research materials for manuscript and grant submissions. Must have demonstrated the ability to design and execute experiments and acquire, analyze, and interpret the data.

　　MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

　　•      Doctoral degree from an accredited institution and appropriate experience and training within a selected area of specialization.

　　•      Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Postdoctoral Fellow.

　　PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

　　•      PhD or equivalent in biological sciences, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, or related discipline. Previous postdoctoral experience is not necessary.

　　•      Experience in techniques such as RNA extraction and qRT- PCR, proteomics (Western blots, ELISA, immunohistochemistry, mass spectrometry, flow cytometry), preclinical tumor models, and cell and tissue imaging are desirable.

　　OTHER

　　•      Excellent communication/writing skills.

　　•      The ideal candidate should have the demonstrated ability to carry out independent research.
