Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory
Postdoc positions are available for scientists who are interested in pursuing questions in neurobiology of learning/memory, neurological disease/disorder, and neuron-cancer interfaces using unique multidisciplinary approaches including structural biology, electrophysiology, biochemistry, reagent development/engineering, and cellular imaging at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) in New York.
Our lab conducts a combination of biochemistry, cryo-EM/crystallography, molecular dynamics, electrophysiology, antibody engineering, compound development, and cellular imaging. We also have collaborators in neuroscience, cancer biology, chemistry, and artificial intelligence molecular screening. CSHL is equipped with Titan-KRIOS electron microscope/K3 direct electron detector and has a convenient access to the NSLS-II synchrotron beamlines (AMX and FMX). CSHL has solid core facilities including antibody production, imaging, CRISPR/RNAi, animal, etc. Our group together with CSHL offers a unique training environment for research and career development (e.g. workshop, CSHL meetings & courses). A qualified applicant should hold Ph.D. or expect to hold Ph.D. within 1 yr in the area of biochemistry/molecular biology, biophysics (structural biology, electrophysiology, smFRET, etc), or neuroscience. Electrophysiologists and molecular neuroscientists in addition to structural biologists are highly encouraged to apply.
