Postdoctoral Research Fellowships/Assistant Scientists available for both Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics projects in the Slingerland laboratory which is part of the interdisciplinary Breast Cancer Program at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center (https://apptrkr.com/2076346) at Georgetown University, Washington DC.
Projects investigate 1) novel roles of p27 in transcriptional co-regulation of cJun and other transcription factors; mechanisms governing coactivation vs co-repression by p27; and novel transcriptional roles for p27 in development, stem/progenitor cell maintenance and cancer 2) links between estrogens, NFκB, obesity, inflammation, and breast cancer stem cells; 3) roles of pre- and post-menopausal estrogens to direct ER-mediated gene expression programs in breast, ovarian and uterine cancers.
