英國利茲大學2022年招聘博士后職位(新型紡織印染工藝)
Research Fellow in Novel Textile Dyeing Processes
University of Leeds
Description
With funding from the John Lewis Partnership, under their Circular Future Fund: The Million Pound Challenge Initiative, we wish to appoint a Research Fellow in the newly formed Leeds Institute of Textiles and Colour alongside an equivalent position in the School of Chemistry, working on novel textile dyeing and regeneration processes. You will work closely together as part of a long-standing collaboration between Prof. Richard Blackburn and Prof. Chris Rayner to further develop and scale-up a potentially revolutionary new textile dyeing and regeneration process that facilitates a circular economy approach for the use of very common fabrics such as polyester. You will have experience in the development and scale-up of synthetic organic chemistry, including continuous processing techniques, extensive experience in chemical analysis (e.g. multidimensional NMR techniques involving gases), the use of CO2 and high pressure reaction equipment and associated physicochemical studies. For this highly collaborative project, you should also have experience working with external organisations (e.g. industry or retailers) and as a team. You should also have a genuine interest in the development of sustainable chemical processes, as evidenced from your previous role(s).
