Description
To work on a funded grant. The project aims to develop and validate population clusters that consider health and social care determinants and subsequent need for people with multiple long-term conditions within large national databases. The research will use data-driven artificial intelligence methods that will be compared to expert-driven approaches.
There are substantial qualitative work packages to establish key biological, psycho-social, economical and environmental variables that are necessary considerations in the delivery of integrated and tailored health care. The applicant will support the Chief Investigator in the timely delivery of the grant, and in particular undertake thematic qualitative analysis of a large dataset based on the findings of interviews with patients, carers and care professionals with experience of Multiple long-term health conditions (MLTC).
Essential skills:
PhD in a health-related field or equivalent professional qualification/experience in qualitative research
Detailed understanding and knowledge of qualitative research design and conduct.
Experience of qualitative data collection, analysis and write-up
Experience of research on integrated health and social care in multiple morbidity
Knowledge of NHS primary care and/or social care
Desirable skills:
Knowledge and understanding of potential recruitment difficulties in research studies
Experience of using NVIVO or equivalent qualitative analysis software
Experience of conducting thematic analysis.
