Postdoctoral Researcher in Medical Imaging and AI

Postdoctoral Researcher in Medical Imaging and AI (For Female Researchers) – Santiago, Chile

The iHEALTH Center invites female researchers interested in postdoctoral research in medical imaging, artificial intelligence (AI), and related fields to apply and join our innovative research team. This call is exclusively for female researchers as part of our commitment to promoting gender equity in medical imaging and AI research.

Research Focus

Selected candidates will contribute to one or more of the following key research areas:

a- Medical imaging technologies for early and non-invasive disease diagnosis: Developing methods to integrate AI and medical imaging technologies like MRI, CT , and ultrasound for more precise, efficient, and cost-effective disease diagnosis.

b- Inverse problems for medical image reconstruction and reduction of scan times: Innovating on methods to reduce scan times and improve image quality by solving inverse problems in medical imaging, with a focus on faster, low-radiation diagnostic solutions.

c- Physics-informed artificial intelligence methods for medical imaging acquisition, processing and diagnosis: Creating AI solutions that incorporate both data-driven and physics based models to enhance image acquisition, processing, and diagnosis.

d- Reliable and explainable artificial intelligence methods integrating medical images and other clinical patient data: Developing interpretable AI models that integrate medical imaging with other patient data (e.g., EHR, sensors) to offer

accurate, reliable clinical analysis

e- Biomarkers based on imaging and physiological sensors for early diagnosis and characterization of cardiovascular, liver and cancer diseases: Designing advanced biomarkers using imaging and physiological sensors for the early diagnosis and characterization of prevalent diseases.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

1-Education: Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, Computer Science, or related fields.

2-Experience: Prior experience in medical imaging, AI, and/or the development of AI tools for healthcare applications.

3-Language Skills: Proficiency in English is highly recommended.

Note: Part-time opportunities may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
