The new programme of Media and Communication Studies (MCOM) at UIC invites applications from student-centered teacher/scholars broadly trained in one of the following academic fields: 1) media history; 2) cultural anthropology; and 3) critical sociology. Applicants with interests in developing graduate level courses in critical media & cultural studies are especially encouraged to apply. As our programme strives to provide a solid academic foundation as well as hands-on technical skills in media production, the positions also welcome candidates with working experiences/research interests in digital publishing and/or documentary filmmaking to develop new courses for our students in the future.
