一、申請(qǐng)導(dǎo)師簡(jiǎn)介（中英文，500字以內(nèi)）Introduction of supervisor (in both Chinese and English; Maximum 500oords)			（包括研究方向及專業(yè)特長(zhǎng)等Please include the field of research and specialty.）鄧越凡：1979年7月考入南開大學(xué)物理系，畢業(yè)時(shí)獲得“南開大學(xué)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金”。1983年8月通過中美聯(lián)合培養(yǎng)物理研究生的卡斯比（CUSPEA）考試，赴美國(guó)哥倫比亞大學(xué)就讀，在Norman H. Christ與李政道等世界一流大師的指導(dǎo)下研究學(xué)習(xí)。1989年5月取得該校理論物理博士學(xué)位。在紐約大學(xué)科朗數(shù)學(xué)研究所 (Courant Institute) 完成短暫的博士后研究后，于1989年9月加入紐約州立石溪大學(xué) (Stony Brook University) 應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)系，1994年被聘為該校終身教授，1994年晉升為正教授。2010年山東省聘為泰山學(xué)者海外特聘專家。2012年入選國(guó)家第八批“人才”專家，并增選為數(shù)學(xué)物理專業(yè)委員會(huì)。超級(jí)計(jì)算機(jī)設(shè)計(jì)與應(yīng)用的領(lǐng)域學(xué)者，研發(fā)了應(yīng)用圖論在計(jì)算機(jī)網(wǎng)絡(luò)的拓?fù)浣Y(jié)構(gòu)設(shè)計(jì)的應(yīng)用，并領(lǐng)導(dǎo)研究了非均勻存儲(chǔ)器大型超級(jí)計(jì)算機(jī)的許多應(yīng)用程序的最佳任務(wù)映射。此外，還研發(fā)了對(duì)血小板的多尺度建模，血小板的多尺度建模研究涉及數(shù)十億的大時(shí)間尺度的原子。 Yuefan Deng graduates from Nankai University and Columbia University in New York in 1983 and 1989 with BS in physics and Ph.D. in theoretical physics respectively. He was promoted to full professor of applied mathematics at Stony Brook University in 1998. He specializes in supercomputer design and applications. He has developed the area of applying graph theory to design supercomputer network topologies. He also has been leading the research of task mapping for optimal utilization of large-scale supercomputers with non-uniform memory access for a number of class es of applications. Additionally, Prof. Deng has developed the platform for multiple-scale modeling of platelet activation, a study involving billions of atoms for large time scales.
二、招收博士后擬承擔(dān)或開展的主要研究任務(wù)（中英文）main task for post-doctorate research (in both Chinese and English)			將專注于以下兩個(gè)與超級(jí)計(jì)算機(jī)體系結(jié)構(gòu)設(shè)計(jì)和算法的高效應(yīng)用相關(guān)的項(xiàng)目：項(xiàng)目1：新一代超級(jí)計(jì)算機(jī)新型互聯(lián)網(wǎng)絡(luò)設(shè)計(jì) 項(xiàng)目2：超級(jí)計(jì)算機(jī)架構(gòu)應(yīng)用的最佳映射算法和軟件的開發(fā) 項(xiàng)目3：血小板多尺度建模算法的軟件的開發(fā) We focus on the following three related projects for supercomputer architectural design and algorithms for efficient applications. Project1: Design of novel interconnection networks for a new generation of supercomputer Project2: Development of algorithms and software for optimal mapping of applications to supercomputer architectures Project3: Development of multiple-scale algorithms software for modeling platelets.

五、對(duì)博士后的培養(yǎng)使用計(jì)劃（以兩年為限）： Standard approach in supervising postdocs. During the first 1-3 months, we will discuss with the postdocs to define their projects and desired impacts as well as the path leading to the results. I will meet them weekly so that their work will be assessed while they maintain sufficient autonomous. Each month, the postdocs will give group presentations to report progress. We will have a final review. I also expect the postdoc to supervise 2-3 graduate students. 博士后監(jiān)管的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)方法。頭幾個(gè)月我們將與博士后討論確定研究課題和預(yù)期的結(jié)果，以及導(dǎo)致這種結(jié)果的途徑。我將每周與他們面談以便他們?cè)诰S持足夠自主的同時(shí)研究工作能夠得到及時(shí)的評(píng)估。博士后每月將工作進(jìn)展報(bào)告交到團(tuán)隊(duì)。我們將進(jìn)行最后的審查。我希望每個(gè)博士后指導(dǎo)2-3個(gè)研究生。
六、對(duì)博士后在站期間的要求（論文、論著，取得基金、獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)或?qū)＠龋?br /> Each postdoc is expected to publish 2-3 high-impact papers. At the time of graduation, the postdoc must obtain a high-competitive job offer and start independent research. 每個(gè)博士后要發(fā)表2-3篇高影響力的論文。在畢業(yè)的時(shí)候，博士后必須獲得一個(gè)高競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力的工作機(jī)會(huì)并開始獨(dú)立的研究。
