地理與海洋科學(xué)學(xué)院Jonathan Adams教授主要研究全球大尺度碳循環(huán)、生物多樣性和外來物種入侵等生態(tài)學(xué)熱點(diǎn)問題，重點(diǎn)關(guān)注土壤微生物在不同尺度下的空間分布規(guī)律。Jonathan Adams教授先后在Nature、New phytologist、Global Ecology and Biogeography、Journal of Ecology、Microbial Ecology等重要國際性學(xué)術(shù)刊物發(fā)表相關(guān)研究論文150余篇。(Researchgate page: https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Jonathan_Adams8 )
根據(jù)工作需要，Adams教授課題組現(xiàn)招收博士后研究員1名。
崗位職責(zé)：
進(jìn)行微生物群落生態(tài)學(xué)、土壤學(xué)、海洋或淡水沉積物及植物表面的多樣性等研究。參與多個(gè)有關(guān)人地生態(tài)系統(tǒng)的研究項(xiàng)目，利用DNA / RNA序列信息推斷群落模式和生態(tài)系統(tǒng)過程。
崗位要求：
有微生物學(xué)、生態(tài)學(xué)或微生物生態(tài)學(xué)背景。
能夠使用或?qū)W習(xí)生物信息軟件、R等統(tǒng)計(jì)軟件，開展野外考察和實(shí)驗(yàn)室工作。
具有好奇心和靈活性，能夠協(xié)調(diào)不同項(xiàng)目工作，發(fā)揮重要作用。具有創(chuàng)新性，能夠提出新思路和新項(xiàng)目。
其他條件：
已獲得或即將獲得博士學(xué)位，品學(xué)兼優(yōu)、身體健康；
熱愛科學(xué)研究，基礎(chǔ)扎實(shí)、工作積極、學(xué)風(fēng)嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)，兼有團(tuán)隊(duì)合作精神和獨(dú)立研究能力；
博士在讀期間或畢業(yè)后，在相關(guān)研究領(lǐng)域己取得顯著科研成果者，予以優(yōu)先考慮；

Wanted: Postdoctoral researcher to work in microbial community ecology and diversity of soils, marine or freshwater sediments, and plant surfaces. The post will be for 2 years initially, with possibility of extensions.
Professor Jonathan Adams, who has recently joined Nanjing University, School of Geographic and Oceanographic Sciences (Researchgate page: https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Jonathan_Adams8 ) is looking to recruit a post-doctoral researcher with an interest in microbial ecology (bacteria, archaea, fungi, protists, small metazoans, viruses and metagenomes). The researcher will be participating in a diversity of research projects on natural and anthropogenic ecosystems. The projects will utilize DNA/RNA sequence information to deduce community patterns and ecosystem processes.  
The researcher will be asked to play a significant role in several new and existing projects, and is also welcome to propose novel projects according to curiosity.
Requirements: A background in either microbiology, or ecology, or microbial ecology. Willingness to learn how to use bioinformatic software and do simple DNA/RNA lab work, to learn statistical software such as R, to learn either ecology or microbiology (depending on background) and participate in fieldwork are all important. The researcher must have the curiosity and flexibility to be able to switch between different projects (or work on multiple projects) according to the opportunities and ideas that come up.
