About SCUPI 四川大學匹茲堡學院簡介
Sichuan University - Pittsburgh Institute (SCUPI) is an academic entity jointly established by the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) in the U.S. and Sichuan University (SCU) in China. Officially approved by the Ministry of Education (MOE) of China in March 2014, SCUPI is one of the five institute-scale collaborative programs between leading universities in the U.S. and China. SCUPI stands out for its technical focus on advanced and sustainable manufacturing and offers three undergraduate majors in Industrial Engineering (IE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), and Materials Science and Engineering (MSE). The curricula at SCUPI is based on Pitt’s Swanson School of Engineering’s core curriculum and they are instructed in English. The first class of SCUPI started in fall, 2015.
四川大學匹茲堡學院是由四川大學與美國匹茲堡大學合作成立的中外聯(lián)合學院,是兩所享有國際聲譽的中美名校強強聯(lián)合進行國際化辦學的新模式。學院是教育部正式批準的中美大學合作機構(gòu)層次的五所學院之一,引入了國際一流大學的辦學理念、課程體系、師資力量及優(yōu)質(zhì)教育資源。融合兩校的學術(shù)及教育的優(yōu)勢,四川大學匹茲堡學院致力于提供先進的工程教育。匹茲堡學院開設(shè)工業(yè)工程、機械設(shè)計制造及其自動化、材料科學與工程三個本科專業(yè)。學院按照匹茲堡大學工學院的課程設(shè)置用全英文進行授課,并從2015年開始招生。

Position Description 崗位描述
The Academic Administrator provides academic and administrative support to SCUPI. During the interaction with faculty, staff and students from the Institute, Sichuan University, and the University of Pittsburgh, the academic administrator plays an active and supportive role in providing academic-related services and consultations and administrative support for Institute-wide projects.
 
Duties and Responsibilities 主要職責
•  Act as an interface between the Institute, Sichuan University, and the University of Pittsburgh in addressing academic issues or providing academic information

•  Prepare class scheduling, coordinate classrooms, and curriculum support

•  Provide counseling service regarding academic affairs and study abroad programs

•  Coordinate faculty and staff members’ academic-related activities

•  Keep track on students' academic performance by collecting, analyzing and reviewing data and generate academic report accordingly

•  Take a lead in Teaching Assistant recruiting, training, management, and evaluation

•  Master’s degree in Education, Public Relation, Communications or other related fields, oversea diploma or working/intern experience from an English speaking country preferred

Position Description 崗位描述
The Student Counselor needs to devote significant efforts to recruiting, advising, and managing student affairs in the Institute. The Counselor plays an active and leadership role in coordinating student recruiting activities, which includes meetings, workshops, presentations and travel. Managing student affairs may follow the relevant guidelines provided by the University.
 
Duties and Responsibilities 主要職責
•  Fulfill basic job requirements of the counselor and manage student affairs based on University guidelines and coordinate with relevant university units

•  Serve as a focal point to communicate and coordinate student affairs between SCUPI and Sichuan University

During the interaction with faculty, staff and students from the Institute, Sichuan University, and the University of Pittsburgh, the human resources administrator plays an active and supportive role in providing human resources management and administrative support for Institute-wide projects.
 
Duties and Responsibilities 主要職責
•  Assist foreign faculty members with their visa application, work permit and residence permit application
協(xié)助外籍教師辦理來華簽證,工作許可證及居留許可證
•  Manage recruitment, onboarding and employment termination process
負責員工招聘,入職及離職手續(xù)辦理
•  Collect and maintain a variety of faculty and staff data
收集整理教職工檔案數(shù)據(jù)
•  Greet visitors to SCUPI and coordinate with faculty business trip applications
接待學院訪客,協(xié)調(diào)教職工因公出訪事務
•  Maintain human resources management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
